Dr Joanna Page
I qualified from Bristol University in 1995 having first completed a degree in Physiology and pre-medical science at Oxford University. Having thoroughly enjoyed obstetrics and gynaecology as a medical student, and in particular my time on the delivery suite, I applied for a training post. Since then I have worked almost exclusively within the field of obstetrics and gynaecology.
I worked in Bristol as a junior doctor before being appointed as a specialist registrar in the Hampshire area. I transferred to Plymouth to complete my training due to family circumstances and have remained here ever since. I was appointment as a consultant in 2012. I consider myself a true generalist having acquired a broad range of skills during my training. However my particular areas of interest include intrapartum care, maternal medicine and medical education.
