Dr Paula Galea

Dr Paula Galea has been a Consultant Obstetrician for nine years at the Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, London with a special interest in Intrapartum Care and Fetal Medicine. She is currently also the Divisional Clinical Information Officer as well as the Labour Ward Lead.

During the period of 2019-2022, Paula was also the Clinical Obstetric lead – this was during a period of uncertainty and where  rapid new measures and decisions had to be taken due to COVID 19 pandemic.  Her specialist training was in Northwest London where she also did a 3-year research in twin pregnancies at Imperial College London and has advanced training in Fetal Medicine, Advanced Labour Ward practice and Labour Ward Lead (including training in safety investigations and human factors). She now has more than 20 years’ experience in the field, and she is passionate about improving maternity care and will keep on striving to improve the services for both staff and patients (including inclusivity and birth rights).
