Fez a sua forma\u00e7\u00e3o e tem trabalhado em Portsmouth desde que come\u00e7ou a sua carreira como parteira, h\u00e1 quase vinte e cinco anos. Passou dois anos a trabalhar como parteira em regime de rota\u00e7\u00e3o antes de passar a trabalhar a tempo inteiro na comunidade. Tornou-se supervisora de parteiras e recebeu forma\u00e7\u00e3o como profissional de Exame F\u00edsico de Rec\u00e9m-Nascidos (NIPE) antes de assumir o cargo de parteira cl\u00ednica chefe no centro de maternidade local independente. Em 2020, tornou-se a enfermeira-chefe comunit\u00e1ria dos Servi\u00e7os de Maternidade e criou quatro equipas de continuidade de cuidados de grande sucesso.
