Dr Mike Hall

Dr Mike Hall is currently a Visiting Professor of Neonatal Medicine at the University of Southampton. He was employed as a consultant paediatrician and neonatologist in the NHS for 35 years. During his NHS career he held held the positions of Lead Neonatologist and Clinical Director for the hospital-based paediatric services in Southampton.

He is a past member of the Executive Committee of the British Association for Perinatal Medicine, a former Chair of the RCPCH/RCN UK Committee for Children and Young Persons’ Nursing, and a senior examiner for the MRCPCH clinical examinations. 

Dr Hall has recently retired from clinical work but has ongoing involvement in the education and training of nurses and doctors who look after new-born babies, both nationally and internationally.
