Review Update

Since the Review started in September 2022, 1,939 families have joined the Review. We have now held 179 individual family meetings. Families should have recently received a ‘Save the Date’ via email, to inform you of the next family meeting which will take place on Saturday 19th October. We are currently in the process of confirming the venue, and we will let you know the location once we know. All Review families are welcome to come, if they wish to. We hope to have talks led by Donna, Chair of the Review; local charities; the Police; the Family Psychological Support Service (FPSS); and other families.

Charity of the Month – PEEPS

We are always looking for different ways to support families who are part of the Review. August’s Charity of the Month is PEEPS

We’re the UK charity supporting those affected by H.I.E. (Hypoxic-Ischaemic Encephalopathy), a lack of oxygen/blood flow to the brain on infants, usually around the time of birth. Peeps was set up by parents (Sarah and Steve, after their daughter “Heidi Peeps” had an H.I.E. event in 2015), and offers emotional, practical and financial support. We understand that the causes, outcomes and impact of H.I.E. can vary greatly, and there is no “one size fits all” in terms of support. Whether it’s professional counselling or trauma therapy (arranged and fully funded by Peeps), peer support, bereavement support, connecting with other families, information or something else, you’ll always find a warm welcome and a community of people who understand.
