Claire McKellow
I have been a qualified Midwife for 18 years and I am currently in the role of course leader and senior lecturer at Kingston University taking responsibility for oversight of all undergraduate and postgraduate midwifery programmes. This role gives me the opportunity to ensure that our curriculums meet the needs of both university qualification, service provision and the NMC, whilst ensuring students have a positive learning journey. I have worked in numerous clinical settings and roles that include labour ward shift coordinator, practice development Midwife and clinical governance lead, through which I have supported clinical investigations and quality improvement strategies within the trusts I have worked in. I am also a Professional Midwifery Advocate within the university setting to support students and staff, utilising my previous experience a Supervisor of Midwives.
