Dr Amelia Heaford

Amelia Heaford completed her specialty training within the London deanery in 2019 since which she has been a Consultant Paediatric and Perinatal Pathologist at St George’s University Hospital, London, where she also provides specialist perinatal pathology services to the wider South West London region. As part of her role, she is an active part of the multidisciplinary team working alongside her obstetric, neonatal and midwifery colleagues to review cases at morbidity and mortality meetings.

She has a keen interest in education and acts as the educational supervisor for paediatric pathology trainees at the Trust in addition to supervising visiting registrars undertaking subspecialty attachments. She also regularly teaches on undergraduate courses for medical students and on postgraduate courses for both pathologists and obstetricians.
