Dr Paul Crawshaw
I have worked in the NHS since 1982. I trained as a paediatrician and neonatologist, specialising in care of the new-born infant, in multiple hospitals across the UK. I worked as a specialist consultant neonatologist on the neonatal intensive care unit at a level 3 neonatal intensive care unit from 1995 to 2017. I was also Divisional Director of the paediatric and maternity services for 7 years until 2017 so am very familiar with managing a neonatal intensive care unit, a labour ward, antenatal and postnatal service and a transitional care unit for babies and their mothers. I am currently Clinical Lead for the Women’s and Children’s Work streams of the Surrey Heartlands Health and Care Partnership and Chair of the Surrey Heartlands Local Maternity System. I continue to work closely on a daily basis with midwives and obstetricians and neonatal doctors and nurses.
