Suzanne Banks CBE

Suzanne retired as a Chief Nurse in 2019 after a 38-year nursing career spanning roles as a General Nurse, Children’s Nurse, and Health Visitor, complemented by an MBA from Keele University. She held leadership roles in several Trusts requiring intensive support and cultural transformation, with a strong focus on workforce development and delivering high-quality patient care. Passionate about tackling health inequalities, she led initiatives supporting the homeless and played a key role in advancing the menopause agenda across the NHS, later serving as Clinical Programme Lead for the National Menopause Programme at NHS England. In 2024, she became a Non-Executive Director at West Midlands Ambulance Trust and continues to work independently. Suzanne was awarded a CBE in 2020 for her services to nursing within the NHS.
