As of the end of the day on the 31^st May 2025, the Review closed to new cases. This means that we are no longer accepting new families into the Review. The Trust will identify cases that meet the Review’s Terms of Reference up until 31^st May and will notify the Review of these cases as soon as they can; this means that these families will receive initial contact from the Review team after the closing date of the 31^st May. The Review team will continue to: review family cases and write personalised family feedback, meet with families, and staff, analyse their findings, write the final report. Suzanne Banks CBE

Suzanne retired as a Chief Nurse in 2019 after a 38-year nursing career spanning roles as a General Nurse, Children’s Nurse, and Health Visitor, complemented by an MBA from Keele University. She held leadership roles in several Trusts requiring intensive support and cultural transformation, with a strong focus on workforce development and delivering high-quality patient care. Passionate about tackling health inequalities, she led initiatives supporting the homeless and played a key role in advancing the menopause agenda across the NHS, later serving as Clinical Programme Lead for the National Menopause Programme at NHS England. In 2024, she became a Non-Executive Director at West Midlands Ambulance Trust and continues to work independently. Suzanne was awarded a CBE in 2020 for her services to nursing within the NHS.
