Review Update

Since the Review started in September 2022, 2,425 families have joined the Review.

The next family meeting will take place on Saturday 13th September. Following feedback from families, we will be including “group sessions” on the day so that families can attend the parts of the meeting that meets their needs most. We recognise that attending the meeting can feel difficult, so please be aware that by attending the meeting, you do not have to stay for the entirety of the meeting.

We will share the agenda for the day via email, and on the Review website under the ‘Events’ page in the near future. If you have any questions about the meeting, please contact events@donnaockenden.com and we will do our very best to answer these for you.

Trust Annual Public Meeting (APM) – 3rd September

The Trust will be holding their Annual Public Meeting (APM) on Wednesday 3 September. The first part of the meeting (10-11:30am) will focus on the independent maternity review, in which Donna (Chair of the independent Review) will provide an update on the progress of the Review. There will also be an opportunity for families, staff, and the public to ask questions directed to the Chair of the independent Review, Anthony May (Trust Chief Executive), and Nick Carver (Trust Chair). If you would like to attend the APM, please register by following this link and entering the required details. You can find a detailed agenda for the meeting, on the Trust website.

Let us know what you like to read in the newsletter

We recognise that as the Review progresses and we get nearer to the date of publication of the final report, grading of cases and providing family feedback that family needs may change. Please let us know what you would like to read about in the newsletter, and we will try our very best to provide this. We are always here to help, and provide all families with the support they need.

Currently, there is no end date for the closing of the Family Psychological Support Service. As a reminder to families, especially as the Review has now closed to new cases and some families may be thinking about publication of the final report, grading of their cases, and how they will receive feedback, the Family Psychological Support service can be accessed at any time and can be tailored towards your needs. If you would like to find more information about this service please follow this link.
