A message from Donna Ockenden

As we near the end of the year and the approach towards the festive period, we would like to thank you for your continued engagement with the Review team. As of 27/11/2025, there are 2,427 families included in the Review. We are proud of the huge amount of engagement the Review has had with stakeholders both locally and nationally, and have already begun to see the positive impact that this has brought about although there remains much more to do. We wish you happiness, peace and a restful festive period.

Very best wishes,
Donna Ockenden

Support over the festive period

We recognise that the new year and festive period may feel especially difficult for families. If you require additional support at this time, or at any time please contact the Family Psychological Support Service (FPSS). This service is available to all families in the Review, now and in the future.

MPs

The Nottinghamshire MPs continue to support families that need it. This year they have stood beside families in Parliament, and they have discussed maternity during the Prime Minister’s Questions. They are committed to supporting families across Nottinghamshire. If you are unsure who your MP is, please see below:

NMC/GMC

The General Medical Council (GMC) and Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) offer virtual and face to face meetings for families involved in the Nottingham Maternity Review, who want to raise concerns about a professional who is registered with them. The GMC is the independent regulator for doctors, physician associates and anaesthesia associates. The NMC is the independent regulator for nurses, midwives and nursing associates. You can book a meeting using the QR code below or clicking on this link.

Once you’ve booked a meeting, you’ll receive a confirmation email. The GMC or NMC will then contact you 2 weeks before the meeting to introduce themselves and explain what to expect. You can email the GMC on Maternity@gmc-uk.org, or the NMC on nottinghamformenquiries@nmc-uk.org
