Dana Colbourne

Dana is a registered midwife and educator with over 20 years of experience across Portsmouth, Southampton, and Bournemouth areas. Since qualifying in 2004, Dana has been dedicated to enhancing postnatal care, leading innovative student midwife-led clinics that develop competencies in postnatal support through research-driven approaches. Passionate about transforming postnatal care, Dana ensures women and birthing people have access to the right support during this critical period. Alongside her clinical work, Dana also serves as an independent educator, delivering collaborative learning strategies that foster compassionate, safe, and effective maternity care. Her approach centres on kindness and excellence, equipping the next generation of midwives with the skills needed to provide safe patient-centred care that respects individual needs.
