Dr Lila Mayahi

Lila studied medicine at University College London qualifying in 1996.

Her training as a junior doctor exposed her to many specialities with hands on experience in delivering safe and tailored care to patients.

In 2002 Lila embarked a PhD in cardiovascular medicine. Thereafter finishing clinical training and taking up a consultant post at St George’s Hospital in Southwest London in 2010.

Here, she is involved with under & post graduate teaching & training, lead on aspects of medicines management & drug therapies. She also trains and mentors allied health professionals e.g. nurses, pharmacists & midwives.

Lila continues to practice frontline clinical medicine caring for acutely unwell patients.

Over the years she has developed an interest in medical complications in pregnancy and looked after these women. In 2022 she took up lead post for Obstetric Physician in Southwest London.
