Elizabeth Crisp
Elizabeth has worked as a rotational midwife in a variety of settings within the NHS including community, a freestanding midwifery led unit, antenatal/postnatal, delivery suite, HDU and a conjoined midwifery led unit. She is currently holding an interesting role which combines clinical practice, education, and research. She works rotationally in all areas of midwifery practice. Elizabeth has an interest in education, clinical governance, patient safety and human factors. This interest has led her to study a mixed methods PhD with a clinical focus, offering debriefing training and supervision to maternity staff to evaluate if it has an impact upon interprofessional collaborative competence with a view to seeing if it improves patient safety. She is a professional midwifery advocate and enjoys supporting both midwives and families in this role.
