Helen Fecher
Helen began her NHS career in 1984, training in London as a Registered Nurse then Registered Midwife.
Helen’s passion is for the labour ward and the challenges of both normal and complex births. She has been a Labour Ward Coordinator for 26 years and feels privileged and honoured to have had such responsibility. This role is far reaching and incorporates being an advocate for the woman and her family with a commitment to leading a multidisciplinary team. Ensuring the highest quality care is provided for all has always been of paramount importance to Helen.
Throughout her career, Helen has also been involved in teaching. She has been a member of the Practice Development Team, and for many years an instructor on courses that focus on managing obstetric emergencies. Helen has been a Supervisor of Midwives and enjoyed all aspects of this role supporting women, their families as well as her colleagues.
