Qiqi Lam

Qiqi Lam is superintendent sonographer in Derriford Hospital, University Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust. She has 22 years of experience in healthcare, of which the last 12 years have been solely in ultrasound. Qi has experience of working in public and private hospitals in the United Kingdom and in Singapore. She is an active member of the Women’s and BAME networks in the Trust and has an interest in coaching.

As a modality lead in a dynamic imaging department, Qi provides leadership and manages team health for ultrasound service to deliver excellent patient care. She collaborates with the wider Trust for much of her work and regularly undertakes investigations into incidents. Qi works in an open and transparent way to provide a sensitive and balanced approach to support fair outcomes.

Qi lives in Plymouth with her husband and two children. She enjoys reading, being with nature, yoga and karate.
