Caroline Clarke

Caroline has been a Registered Midwife since 1983. She spent 32 years as Midwife Team Leader, Maternity Unit Coordinator and Labour Ward Lead. She has experience, skills, and extensive knowledge in high risk pregnancy and Intrapartum care. She is Clinical Lead on perineal trauma, perineal repair and female genital mutilation (FGM); and has developed a weekly Perineal Clinic focused on women with obstetric and sphincter injuries, perineal trauma and FGM survivors. Caroline regularly conduct debriefs for complex cases and has ongoing liaison with women and families. She has responsibility for a team of midwives and maternity support workers which includes; appraisals, professional development, support and maintaining standards, quality and safety.

She is passionate about women’s experiences and safer outcomes for mothers, babies and families.
