Dr Adarsh Bhulani
Dr Adarsh Bhulani is a Consultant Neonatologist and Medical Examiner at the Lancashire Women and Newborn Centre, East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust. He began his neonatal journey at Oxford University Hospitals in 2016 and has since gained extensive experience working across the UK in Level 3 neonatal intensive care units over the past decade.
Dr Bhulani has a strong interest in improving accountability and quality in healthcare, which led him to take up the role of Medical Examiner at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust. This role has provided him with valuable exposure to primary, secondary care, and coronial services, as well as opportunities to undertake independent case reviews. Through this work, he contributes to identifying recurring themes and driving systemic improvements in patient care.
He is an external reviewer for the regional Perinatal Mortality Review Tool (PMRT) process and previously served as PMRT Consultant Co-Lead during his tenure as a Neonatal Consultant at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire.
Dr Bhulani is particularly passionate about improving neonatal outcomes through optimising team dynamics and equipment utilization during neonatal resuscitation, as well as enhancing the delivery of routine neonatal intensive care by ensuring efficient recruitment and workforce planning.
