Dr Sunita Seal

Dr Sunita Seal is a Consultant Neonatologist currently working at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. She has been a consultant since 2001. She has been the Mortality Lead and Risk Lead for the Bradford Neonatal service since 2004 and represents Bradford at the Yorkshire Mortality Review panel. She leads a Yorkshire & Humber Neonatal Network Mortality Review group looking at thematic analysis as part of a drive to reduce neonatal mortality. She is well versed with reviewing mortality and serious incidents.

She was the Clinical Lead for the Bradford Neonatal service from 2009 till 2020. She was Chair of the Yorkshire Neonatal Forum between 2015 and 2018.

She has a keen interest in teaching and is the Course Director for Newborn Examination module for midwives at Bradford University and Neonatal Grid Training Coordinator, Yorkshire & Humber Deanery. She has an interest in research and has been the Principal Investigator for a number of national multicentre trials.
