Dear Families,
The Trust are hosting a meeting on Saturday 14th November 2026 at the Hilton Nottingham Hotel, NG1 3PZ.
This meeting will provide the Trust with an opportunity to share their response to the Immediate and Essential Actions outlined in the Review’s published report. It will also offer an opportunity for families to shape the Perinatal* Families Advisory Board.
What is the Perinatal Families Advisory Board?
Throughout the duration of the Review, senior leaders across NHS England and NUH Trust met with Donna Ockenden at meetings referred to as ‘Learning and Improvement’ (L&I). These meetings provided an opportunity for the Chair of the Review to raise concerns in real time, and helped early improvements be put into place at the Trust.
The Review’s published report set out a number of Immediate and Essential Actions for the Trust to implement to support improvements. After publication in June 2026, the L&I board has been redesigned to include a Perinatal Families Advisory Board co-chaired by Donna Ockenden and a family member, and a separate Staff Board. The new L&I board will be chaired by Michelle Welsh who is the MP for Sherwood Forest and the Government’s National Maternity Advisor.
The November meeting is open for families to attend and share their feedback, and for the Trust to listen and act on this.
