As of the end of the day on the 31^st May 2025, the Review closed to new cases. This means that we are no longer accepting new families into the Review. The Trust will identify cases that meet the Review’s Terms of Reference up until 31^st May and will notify the Review of these cases as soon as they can; this means that these families will receive initial contact from the Review team after the closing date of the 31^st May. The Review team will continue to: review family cases and write personalised family feedback, meet with families, and staff, analyse their findings, write the final report. Our team are contactable Monday-Friday 8am-5pm to answer any questions that you may have.

Family Meeting – Saturday 17^th January

Thank you to all of the families who were able to attend the family meeting on Saturday 17^th January. Donna Ockenden, Chair of the Review, gave an update on the progress of the Review and provided information on what to expect in the lead up to publication of the report (June 2026). The General Medical Council (GMC) and the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) provided an update on what they have implemented since the last family meeting. We recognise that many families are either not able to attend, or do not feel able to attend the family meetings which is why we are committed to publishing the PowerPoint slides on the Review website so that all families are provided with the same information.
