The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)

The NMC can investigate concerns about a midwife, nurse or nursing associate, if they think that they could be a risk to people’s safety.

The General Medical Council (GMC) and Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) offer virtual and face to face meetings for families involved in the Nottingham Maternity Review, who want to raise concerns about a professional who is registered with them. The GMC is the independent regulator for doctors, physician associates and anaesthesia associates. The or NMC is the independent regulator for nurses, midwives and nursing associates. You can book a meeting using the QR code below or clicking on this link.

Once you’ve booked a meeting, you’ll receive a confirmation email. The GMC or NMC will then contact you 2 weeks before the meeting to introduce themselves and explain what to expect.
