Stacey Robbins

My name is Stacey and I am a practicing community midwife, I have been qualified for 11 years this year and have had the privilege of working in all areas of maternity.

I am a working mother and found my pathway to midwifery though my own, less than positive experience.

My passion lies in community and with providing families with the support and knowledge they need to make confident decisions about their pregnancy and birth journey. Meaning that they are able to navigate through unexpected changes and sometimes distressing experiences, as supported as possible. To know that they are listened to and heard, knowing that they matter.

Over the years I have come to realise that we need to continually improve our services, and although I am extremely proud to be a midwife, I am fully aware that to improve care is to learn from errors, to access robust evidence and to understand decision making processes, during what can be a high stress environment.
