Dr Alison Jobling
I currently work as a general paediatric consultant at Stepping Hill Hospital and have been in this post since 2003. My special interests include medical education, neonatology, cystic fibrosis and behavioral paediatrics. My roles include regular neonatal on call weeks and my general on calls also include neonatal care. I teach and direct Neonatal life support locally as well as on national and international courses. I also work as the Associate Medical Director for the Women’s, Children’s and Diagnostics business group at Stepping Hill and have been in this role for almost three years. This means that I work as part of the management triumvirate that ensures safe care and good governance across maternity, neonates, paediatrics and diagnostic services. I have recently taken on the role of medical lead for an improvement project to improve out of hours safety and quality of care for all patients at Stepping Hill hospital.
